The Survival Horror Archive | 1981

Welcome to The Vault Files of the Year 1981, a historic archive chronicling the evolution of survival horror. It was too early for Survival Horror, but one Game was already building some of the bases for the genre. Pre-cursors are games that somehow helped with setting the bases for what later became known as Survival Horror. The Vault Files stands as a living record, dedicated to honoring the creators and preserving the haunting worlds that made survival horror what it is.

1981 and AX-2 set the base for Claustrophic envionments, Key Hunting and Enemy Evasion, later seen in survival Horror entries.
