Project Songbird, the upcoming psychological horror title from developer Conner Rush and FYRE Games, has officially confirmed its release date. The game will launch on March 26, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Published by FYRE Games on PC and Dojo System on consoles, Project Songbird is positioned as a cinematic first person narrative horror experience that blends psychological horror, survival horror elements, and exploratory gameplay. Alongside the release date announcement, a playable demo is now available on Steam, giving players an early opportunity to experience the game’s atmosphere and narrative tone.
Project Songbird: A Story Rooted in Isolation and Obsession
Project Songbird follows Dakota, a musician struggling through an intense creative block. In search of clarity and inspiration, Dakota retreats to a secluded log cabin deep within the Appalachian forest with the goal of recording a new album. What begins as a quiet escape from the world slowly transforms into a disturbing psychological descent.

As isolation sets in, the boundaries between reality and internal turmoil begin to erode. The forest, the cabin, and the silence itself become sources of unease, turning the act of creation into something far more dangerous. The game focuses on tension built through atmosphere, sound design, and environmental storytelling rather than constant action or traditional combat.
A Focused and Cinematic Experience
Project Songbird is designed as a tightly paced experience with an estimated length of four to five hours. The game emphasizes immersion and narrative cohesion, allowing its themes of loneliness, artistic pressure, and psychological instability to unfold naturally over the course of a single playthrough.

Developed using Unity version 6000.2.14f1 with HDRP, the game features detailed lighting, realistic environments, and a cinematic presentation that supports its slow burning approach to horror.
Voice Performances and Narrative Delivery
The game features a strong voice cast including Valerie Rose Lohman, Jonah Scott, Aleks Le, Maddy Murphy, William Champion, Christian La Monte, and Conner Rush. Performances play a central role in grounding the story, helping convey Dakota’s vulnerability and emotional deterioration as the narrative progresses.
