Phantasmagoria is a point-and-click horror graphic adventure with full-motion video (FMV). Directed and largely designed by Roberta Williams, the game melded live actors with computer-generated environments, creating an interactive horror cinematic experience rarely seen at the time.

Phantasmagoria is notable as one of the earliest games to merge full-motion video (FMV) with graphic horror, pushing interactive storytelling to cinematic extremes. Its mature themes, intense violence, and psychological atmosphere showed how narrative and presentation could evoke fear as powerfully as gameplay mechanics later found in classics like Resident Evil and Alone in the Dark.
